Lets face it, Senior portraits are expensive. Even at my rates, they can take a good bite out of your wallet. Hopefully, this will help ease some of that burden.

I am giving away one free Senior Portrait package to one senior in every school in the area. I am holding a photography competition to determine who will receive those packages. This contest is open to all members of the class of 2011, and those stragglers in the class of 2010 that have yet to square away their senior photos.
The contest will be open for submissions from January 4, 2010 through April 1, 2010 with the winner announced on April 8.

Entries are limited to one photograph per student. One grand prize per school will be awarded in the form of our deluxe senior portrait package, valued at $524. Every entrant will receive a discount coupon good for 25% off any senior portrait package.

Subject matter is left to the entrants, and may include, but is not limited to portraits, still life, fashion, editorial, landscape, wild life, etc. Your photograph will be judged on content, creativity, originality, and craft. It doesn't matter what kind of camera you use, be it a simple point and shoot or a high end SLR. The photograph is not made in the camera, it is created a a few inches behind the view finder. Remember, you may only submit one photograph, so be sure to put your very best foot forward.

Winners must schedule their sessions before June 15, 2010 with that
session taking place before August 15th, 2010.

How to enter:

Email: Send your digital images to tony@amhphotography.com with "2011 Senior Photo Competition" as the subject line. Include your name, age, and telephone number, and the name of your high school in your email.

Be sure to include (either on a separate piece of paper or on a text/.doc file on the disk) your name, telephone number, name of your school, and email address with your mail in submission.

Rules:

1. Photograph submitted must have been created by the entrant.
2. Photograph must have been created between January 4, and April 1, 2010
3. No post production techniques may be applied to the photograph
4. Digital photographs must be submitted unaltered at full resolution in jpg format.
5. Digital files must retain unaltered EXIF data
6. Photographs created from film may be submitted, black and white or color, but the original negative must accompany the print (your negative and print will be returned to you if you include a SASE)
7. Cell phone images will not be accepted
8. Digital files must be named with the entrant's last name, and title of the photo (example hogrefe_title.jpg)
9. Mail in entries must be post marked no later than April 1, 2010
10. Email entries must be received no later than 5:30pm April 1, 2010
11. In order to be eligible for a grand prize, each school must have no less than three entrants.
